What is Montessori-inspired about it, and how does it differ from the standard Explore & More Activity Centre?

The Discoverosity was designed in direct collaboration with experts in Montessori education, with an emphasis on sparking natural curiosity and encouraging self-directed exploration and sensory play. It is beautifully crafted with sustainably-sourced natural wood accents a deliberate departure from the all-plastic construction of the standard activity centre range. The five moveable toys can be repositioned based on your baby's abilities and interests, rather than sitting in fixed locations a core Montessori principle of letting the child's curiosity lead, rather than directing attention to a fixed arrangement. The toys themselves a rotating sundial mirror, mountain mover with wooden rings, paddle spinners with wooden beads, mushroom pod, and wobble wheels with rolling teether are designed for open-ended exploration rather than single-purpose cause-and-effect activation

What are the three stages and how long will my child use it?

The Discoverosity has three stages of use: Sit, Swivel & Bounce from 4 months; Cruise & Interact for new walkers from around 12 months; and Play Table from around 3 years, with a hidden storage bin for crafts and supplies. The play table stage is the most valuable long-term feature — at 3+ years, the activity centre legs remain in place and the seat is removed, converting it into a child-height table with a storage bin underneath for art supplies, building blocks, or small world toys. It supports up to 11.3kg in activity mode, and the non-skid feet keep it stable on hard floors at every stage

What's included and are the wood parts safe?

The five moveable Montessori-inspired toys include the Rotating Sundial Mirror with a slide-out panel for a photo insert, the Mountain Mover with wooden rings and soft sensory materials, Paddle Spinners with moveable wooden beads, the Mushroom Pod with clacker and crinkle sounds, and the Wobble Wheels and Rolling Teether for grasping and coordination. All wood accents are sustainably sourced and finished to toy safety standards — smooth with no splinters, and treated with non-toxic finishes safe for mouthing. Clean wooden components with a damp cloth and mild soap only — do not submerge or use abrasive cleaners, which can damage the wood finish.
