The Moby Smart Sling Tub grows with baby through three stages: Stage 1 is for newborns from 0–3 months up to 6.8kg, Stage 2 is for infants from 3–6 months up to 9kg, and Stage 3 is for sitters from 6 months and up to 11.3kg. The Mesh Smart Sling locks into two ergonomic positions: the upper position offers head-to-toe newborn cradling, while the lower position supports infants learning to sit. Once baby can sit independently and unaided, the sling is removed entirely, leaving a spacious, smooth-interior tub for your baby to splash and play in freely without any uncomfortable plastic bumps or inserts

Where should I use it, and how does it store?

The Moby Smart Sling Tub should always be used inside a larger adult bathtub or on a flat, stable surface — it should never be used in a sink, and you should never lift or carry the product with baby in it. The tub includes a swivel hook for hanging on a shower head, shower bar, or towel rack for quick drying and space-saving storage — a genuinely useful feature in smaller bathrooms where a large baby bath can otherwise take up significant floor space. Weighing only 1.6kg, the tub is easy to lift and move while remaining sturdy enough for everyday use, and the drain plug at the base makes emptying straightforward without lifting a full tub of water

How do I keep the mesh sling clean and prevent it from smelling?

The mesh sling is the part of the Moby that requires the most attention between uses. Rinse it thoroughly after every bath to remove soap residue and skin cells, then hang the tub on the swivel hook to allow both the mesh and the tub interior to air dry completely. A damp mesh that stays folded or stored flat will develop an odour quickly. The mesh sling itself is machine washable — remove it from the tub and wash separately on a gentle cold cycle, then air dry fully before reattaching. For stubborn odours, a 30-minute soak in a dilute white vinegar solution before washing is effective. Replace the mesh sling if it shows any signs of fraying, stretching, or weakening at the attachment points
